Having subscribed to National Radio News for eight and a half years, it’s great to recognise the progress that the service has made.
Whilst the combination of dual reports for both news and sport adds value to the bulletin, it is the better judgement of story selection and placement, within the context of a national service, together with their rapid response to breaking news, that is giving National Radio News it’s credibility.
And, with a new commitment to providing a consistent line up of news presenters, with a clearer style of delivery, local stations have the ability, in a programming sense, to recognise them as part of the local team - an important ingredient in delivering quality, reliable community radio in our regional setting.

“With its freedom to tailor its news service to meet the needs of its listeners, National radio News provides a much valued ‘window on the world’ for Australians. It also trains some of the best media operators around”.
