The Booranga Writers' Centre, supported by Charles Sturt University, was established to serve and promote the interests of local writers, and has been active in the Riverina region since 1990.
Booranga serves its members and the local community through hosting Writers in Residence at the Booranga facility, and through the publication of its annual anthology fourW. We also support local and visiting writers with venues, book launches and reading events.
Our visiting Writers in Residence give readings, facilitate workshops and are available to mentor local writers. To express your interest in becoming a Writer in Residence, please apply via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Our anthology, fourW, which brings together new poetry and prose from local, national and international writers and poets, takes submissions annually until June 30. Please download our submission guidelines for more information and submission prices.
Writers and supporters of the writing community can become a member of Wagga Wagga Writers' Writers, which entitles you to a free copy of fourW (full membership only); a regular newsletter featuring news and information about writers, events, competitions and publishing opportunities; free access to monthly writing workshops (non-members pay $10); and discounts at readings, workshops and local bookshops. Only members are eligible to apply for mentor-ship with visiting writers.
Please complete and return our form to apply for membership.
Our newsletters are also available through our blog.
