A Quiet Day will be held at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture in November called 'Advent Greening: Enjoying the colours of Advent with Hildegard of Bingen and Mechthild of Magdeburg.'
During this day of quiet reflection, we will will ponder the beauty and birthing of Divine Love within creation. Drawing on the wisdom of the Benedictine Abbess, Hildegard of Bingen and the Beguine, Mechtild of Magdeburg, we will immerse ourselves in the colour, music and flow of each woman's writings. We will bask in their wisdom, enjoy silence and relate their insights to our evolving appreciation of our experience of the evolutionary birthing of Wisdom within us. In communion with each other, we will draw out insights for the spiritual journey and spiritual companioning.
