Proposed Title

Transactional Analysis in Organisations: A Case Study exploration of Berne's theory with a focus on Communication.

Research

My research project is an exploration of the use of Transactional Analysis (TA) in the organisational field. TA is a method introduced by Berne into psychotherapy in 1961. Nowadays, it is also used in the organisational sphere as "a systematic approach for growth and personal change in individuals, groups and organizations [that] promotes and improves communication" (Mountain & Davidson, 2011, p. 1).

Why I chose CSU

I completed my Bachelor (2004) and Master (2006) in Science of Communication at the University of Lugano in Switzerland. For the last ten years, I have been working as a communicator in the private and public sectors. In 2015, I decided to undertake a PhD with CSU as one of the few universities specialised not only in communication, but also in internal organisational communication. I started my PhD part-time, by distance from Switzerland. Thanks to an international scholarship I am now in Bathurst where I can fully concentrate on my PhD in the School of Communication and Creative Industries.
