Master of Arts Practice (Directing for Stage), Bachelor of Arts - Communication (Theatre/Media)
Adam is an Associate Lecturer in Theatre/Media. He is a performer/director/deviser and a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts - Communication (Theatre/Media) at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
After finishing his studies, Adam took part in the 6-month Internship program with Brisbane based Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, after which he was offered a place in the company's permanent Performance Company. With Zen Zen Zo, Adam spent two years training, teaching, performing and developing new work across Queensland, as well as training and teaching in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. In 2010 he returned to Bathurst to begin a Master of Arts Practice (Directing for Stage) which he graduated from with distinction in 2011. Since then he has directed numerous times for Charles Sturt University as a guest director, also a number of new works with Local Stages at BMEC, including Titanomachy, Windows on the World, Synthesis and Right Behind You and in 2012 was Resident Director with Lingua Franca at BMEC through funding from Regional Arts Australia. Alongside his continued work as a Lecturer in Theatre/Media, Adam continues his independent practice, directing creative developments of two new works with his physical theatre company, co-directed with Alison Plevey, Lingua Franca in Bathurst.
