Research Secretariat established at ACC&C

07 Mar 2019 - by Katherine Waite

The ACC&C has established a Research Secretariat, staffed by Peter Hooton, to provide a more intentional and coherent approach to research that feeds into public discussion of issues which bear on the overall quality of life in Australia, including their implications for shared—and contested—perceptions of justice, equity, and social harmony.  The work is intended to encourage fresh engagement across disciplines, different perspectives and beliefs; and to help inform policy and strategic thinking in government, the church, and the NGO sector.

Read Peter Hooton's paper "State of the Nation: Politics, Ethics and Democracy in Australia" (estimated reading time is 12 minutes).
