In times of uncertainty it can be tempting to build walls and to close rather than open doors – if not literally, then metaphorically. How then can we remain open and expectant – ‘dwell in possibility’ – as Emily Dickinson puts it elsewhere, while at the same time, remaining grounded in the real? Do we dare to trust that God is ‘doing a new thing’ in our life and in our world? This will be an opportunity to pause to reflect more deeply on where we perceive God to be turning up (or not?) in our own life and in the world around us. The Australian Network for Spiritual Direction presents this Quiet Day with Frances Mackay.
