With over 20 years of experience in the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) sector, Michelle is an accomplished educator, programmer, writer, and strategic thinker. She currently resides in Wiradjuri Country, where she grew up. Alongside her role at the Australian Museums and Galleries Association, (AMaGA) Victoria, Michelle also serves as the General Manager for the AMaGA national office. Additionally, she works as a freelance arts administrator, project manager, producer and creative director, operating her own creative business called The Liminal Collective. Michelle has contributed her expertise to prominent national organisations such as the National Gallery of Australia, the Australian War Memorial, and The National Portrait Gallery. She has also collaborated with state and regional institutions, non-profit organisations, and commercial art galleries. Viewing herself as a facilitator for the creative industries and the individuals who work within them, Michelle adeptly brings together people, ideas, resources, creative content, and collections. Through these endeavours, she fosters relationships, facilitates engaging learning opportunities, and provides diverse audiences with access to information and knowledge. Currently, Michelle is pursuing post-graduate research studies focused on feminism, witchcraft, ritual, and material culture.
