Michelle O’Connor’s research interests draws from radio, listening, soundscape and radio art to explore notions of sound and place. She records sounds and creates soundscapes for her creative practice. Michelle has a background working in radio, has received commissions as a freelance audio producer and is a Lecturer in Communication at Charles Sturt University’s Bathurst campus.
Michelle is currently progressing through a PhD investigating radio as a sound medium and the ways in which radio may be able to reflect the sounds of the community.
