Niloofar Solhjoo, originally from Iran, is a Lecturer in Information Studies at Charles Sturt University. With a background in animal health information services, Niloofar’s research explores how humans and animals shape shared understanding through loving, living, and learning together. Her work advances the multispecies movement in information science. She has collaborated with various international associations at the intersection of human-information and human-animal interactions, including the Association for Veterinary Informatics (AVI), the International Conference of Animal Health Information Specialists (ICAHIS), the European Veterinary Libraries Group, and the Symposium on Exploring Multispecies Relations. Niloofar has a strong interest in qualitative and creative research practices, including multispecies ethnography and posthuman phenomenology.
