Proposed title

Exploring practitioner wellbeing in communication: Towards an approach for sustainable practice

This work will explore how practitioners maintain equilibrium; managing complex workplace challenges and high risk experiences with potentially rich rewards while nurturing their personal wellbeing, critical to career longevity and success.   My aim is to explore the concept of wellbeing to distil a context most applicable to communication practice. My intention is to explore the individual qualities of resilience and wellbeing and their relationship to enhancing organisational capability in the context of a rapidly evolving and demanding industry. Research into wellbeing is prolific and needs to be understood in the context of communication practice.  Importantly, a deeper understanding of the strategies practitioners apply in sustaining their own practice could identify opportunities to embed wellbeing and resilience into curriculum as an essential tool for emerging practitioners.
