Greg was a secondary school Science teacher in rural/regional schools for 25 years, including 20 as a Head Teacher, before moving to CSU’s School of Teacher Education lecturing in Inclusive Education and Science Curriculum.
He was seconded to the Division of Learning and Teaching working in the area of course design, with a particular association with the Faculty of Science, before accepting a permanent position in the Division in 2017. After completion of his PhD, Greg was appointed as the Senior Lecturer in Academic Development, alongside responsibility as Course Director for the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. He has also recently accepted responsibility as Course Director for the BEd (K – 12) program with the Faculty of Arts and Education.
Greg has taught a range of subjects in Inclusive Education, Science Education and Mathematics Education at undergraduate level. He has also taught postgraduate subjects within the Masters of Inclusive Education and GCLTHE, as well as having supervised numerous students undertaking master’s level projects, master’s theses, honours degrees and doctoral studies.
Greg’s research is predominantly focussed on course design within teacher education programs, in particular with reference to Inclusive education. He has also written and researched in diverse areas including the cognitive development of preservice teachers, Indigenous education, accreditation of programs in Higher Education and work integrated learning within teacher preparation
Greg is a member of the Australian Association for Teacher Education (ATEA) and the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE). He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK)
