BA, MA, PhD Dr Sadeq Ansari is a Lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation (CISAC) at Charles Sturt University. He also works as Academic Coordinator with the Age of Light. Dr Ansari completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Macquarie University in 2009, followed by a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies at University of Sydney in 2012. He later completed his PhD at Charles Sturt University, with research focusing on the role of ʿaql (reason) in dealing with problematic hadiths by Abu Ja’far al-Tahawi. His teaching and research interests include Islamic theology, hadith studies and Sirah studies.
