Before applying for your placement, please ensure that you are enrolled in the subject, have met all mandatory requirements and followed all guidelines for organising your placement. Details about these requirements and guidelines are available here: Placement Information All Students. All documentation must be current and valid until the end of your placement.
Placement applications are processed through InPlace, the CSU professional experience placement management system. Please log in to InPlace to enter the details of your proposed placement against the required fields. Once you have submitted your placement application via InPlace, a member of the Workplace Learning Team will contact you to discuss your placement options.
Please review the following document to familiarise yourself with the Self-Selection process in InPlace:
How to use InPlace for Self-Selection
We strongly encourage you upload a Curriculum Vitae (CV). By uploading your CV you are consenting to the Workplace Learning Team sharing this information with Schools for the purpose of securing a placement for you. The CV should be of the same standard you would submit to a Principal when seeking employment as a teacher (work experience, qualifications, previous professional experience, extracurricular skills, and special interests). The NSW Department of Education and Communities has some helpful guidelines for writing a CV on their website.
Note: All placements must be sourced by the Workplace Learning Team. Teacher education students are not permitted to contact schools/early childhood services themselves. Early placement applications will greatly improve the chances of the Workplace Learning Team securing your preferred placement, however this is not guaranteed.
