Adjunct Professor

I am an Adjunct Professor at Charles Sturt University. Previously Deputy Director General NSW Dept of Education. I teach under contract in distance education through both the Toronto and Burlington campuses. I am also engaged with two writing teams at Charles Sturt. All teaching and writing is in the MIEd and MEd. I  have played a role in establishing the MIEd in Canada as part of Charles Sturt's work in that country. I also work as a consultant in educational administration and management for a number of non-government organisations.

My research areas include:

  • Policy with particular emphasis on equity
  • Vocational education
  • Teacher quality
  • Gifted education
  • Leadership and management in education

My teaching is in the area of educational leadership in both the MEd and MIEd.. I am also involved in teaching the new compulsory introductory MEd program related to contemporary issues in education.

  • Fellow of the Australian College of Educators.
  • MEd review and writing teams for EER 504, ESA 513 and EEB 504.
  • Consultancy working with Catholic Education Office (Sydney) and Catholic Education Commission in Educational Policy and Change Management.
