BEd EC (Hons), PhD CSU Dr Libbey Murray is an Associate Professor in the School of Education. Dr Murray has taught on the Dubbo campus since 2008. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and Doctor of Philosophy degrees through Charles Sturt, and taught in primary schools in Central West New South Wales. Dr Murray is Program Lead for the Collaborative Teacher's Aide Pathway (CTAP), and has taught a range of subjects both on campus and online to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her research interests include teacher-child relationships, parent-teacher relationships, quality teaching and learning environments, examining children's social and emotional adjustment to kindergarten, transition to and readiness for formal schooling, child stress and anxiety, and examining children's drawings to understand their relationships with others. Dr Murray is interested in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and in particular, working with children to examine issues of concern for them. More recently, her focus has included the transition to tertiary education for Teachers' Aides/SLSOs/AEOs retraining to become teachers, and understanding their study challenges and opportunities.
