Biography

Cheree Dean is from Kamilaroi Country, located in Northern NSW.  She is primary trained and has been in the Indigenous education university sector for over 20 years. Cheree has a passion for Aboriginal education histories, and the current research interest is about NSW Aboriginal community education participation in the 1970s. Outside of the university sector she has delivered training and developed programs in early childhood, Aboriginal perspectives, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Aboriginal Education policies, early childhood numeracy, early childhood place based education and transitioning curriculum between preschool and kindergarten. 

She is the mother of two adventurous and very proud Kamilaroi boys, who are very passionate about their identity and have been involved in a number of presentations and training sessions that Cheree has delivered across NSW.
