BEc BA(Hons) DipEd DELE DELF EdD Dr Tome worked for over 30 years in the public school system of New South Wales, as a teacher (economics, geography, Spanish), deputy principal and principal. He has also had time living and working in the United Kingdom, Mexico and Chile. He has taught in the Educational Leadership program at Charles Sturt University since 2014. Dr Tome was an active member of the New South Wales Teachers Federation, and a member of its Council and Executive for many years. He was also an elected member of the New South Wales Quality Teaching Council. Dr Tome has taught in the Educational Leadership program at Charles Sturt University since 2014. In that time he has written, rewritten, updated and revised almost all the subjects that are included within that program. He has a particular interest in aligning the subjects taught with the Educational Leadership program so as to enhance the leadership skills of those students who work in a variety of educational settings. Dr Tome has also worked with students in the K-12 Teacher Education program, focussing in particular on issues of assessment and reporting, and pedagogies to meet the diverse range of students in schools.Teaching and Research Staff
