BEd, MEd Melb Dr Jacquie Tinkler is a lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Jacquie joined the faculty in 2008 as a full-time lecturer in educational technology and technology studies. Jacquie also has a wide range of secondary schooling experience, and has worked as an art and design teacher, as well as a computer teacher and eLearning coordinator in schools. Her time in adult education also provided a range of skills and experiences that dealt primarily with the provision of computer training and associated community-based projects. Building on her PhD work, her current research in this area involves the ways in which digital technologies are used in schools and school communities’ experiences and thoughts surrounding their use. Her current interests have also expanded to include ways in which young people are engaging with politics, and the ways in which contemporary politics and neoliberalism is influencing schooling. Jacquie’s current teaching involves the writing, reviewing and delivering a range of subjects that feature in both undergraduate and post graduate degree programs. These subjects include those that focus on the use of educational technologies in the classroom, and pedagogy and digital technologies. Jacquie also teaches the introductory subject of the Masters of Education, which is underpinned by the use of ePortfolios. Jacquie was awarded a Faculty of Education Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2013.Teaching and Research Staff
