B. Ed (Early Childhood) (Hons.), PhD (Education) Jessamy is a Lecturer within the School of Education at Charles Sturt University on the Albury-Wodonga campus. Jessamy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) (Honours Class 1) both from Charles Sturt University. Jessamy has been working at Charles Sturt as a Lecturer in Education since 2013 teaching in a number of subjects in the Bachelor of Education (Birth-5), Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) and Master of Education courses. Jessamy is passionate about teaching early childhood and primary education and about rural and regional education. Jessamy’s doctoral study is titled ‘Pedagogies of educational transitions: Educator networks enhancing children’s transition to school in rural areas’ which formed part of a larger ARC-funded research project titled ‘Continuity and change in curriculum and pedagogies as children start school’. Jessamy teaches across a range of early childhood and primary subjects both on campus and online within the Bachelor of Education (Birth-5) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) degrees. Subjects taught include: EPT326 – Early Childhood Professional Practice PhD research Jessamy completed her doctoral study at Charles Sturt in 2019. The thesis is titled ‘Pedagogies of educational transitions: Educator networks enhancing children’s transition to school in rural areas’. The doctoral study formed part of a larger ARC-funded research project titled ‘Continuity and change in curriculum and pedagogies as children start school’.
