Kylie’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours, a PhD in Industrial Chemistry and a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary Science and Mathematics).

Prior to entering the education sector, Kylie’s research and management experience includes the following: Research Assistant, Chemistry Department (Solid State Chemistry), UWA; Research Scientist, CRA; Research Chemist, Structaflor Technical Manager & Resin Technologist, CSR Timber Products Division; Technical Brand Manager and Product Development Manager (Uncle Ben’s).

Currently, Kylie is a Lecturer in the School of Education, Charles Sturt University, Port Macquarie campus. Her primary focus is teaching primary mathematics and science curriculum subjects.

Kylie teaches predominately primary mathematics and science curriculum and professional experience subjects within the Primary and K-12 Bachelor of Education degrees and the Bachelor and Master of Teaching courses.

In her current role, Kylie actively participates in Charles Sturt and community programs such as; Future Moves: National indigenous Science Education programs (NISEP) and SOLVE, and as a judge for regional mathematics and science competitions (Tournament of Minds, Lego league Competition, High School Science Fairs).
