BA Communications Post Grad ALBE Post Cert TESOL TAE IV Linno has worked in the vocational education sector for over two decades, specifically in the adult literacy field. She has worked in adult community education, TAFE and in higher education. Linno’s special interest is in developing a trauma-informed approach to addressing adult literacy, whether that is in the classroom in the wider community. Linno is an International Specialised Skills Fellow, having been awarded an international fellowship in 2018 to investigate the intersection of adult literacy and attachment theory. The action research fellowship led to the development of resources for the adult learning sector around trauma informed andragogy, particularly for adults who have previously experienced educational trauma and have returned to education after a break. Linno is currently the vice president of the Australian Council of Adult Literacy (ACAL), the secretary of the Victorian Adult Literacy and Basic Education Council (VALBEC) and is on the steering committee of the Reading Writing Hotline.
