BSW CSU, MSW CSU Lisa Toomey is a Lecturer in Social Work at Charles Sturt University, where she previously completed both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work. She brings extensive practice experience in child protection, family preservation, crisis response, mental health, therapeutic counselling, clinical leadership, and relational work with children, young people and families to her teaching and academic role. Lisa’s professional and scholarly interests include child and adolescent mental health, trauma, attachment and relational practice, therapeutic approaches, and the development of reflective and ethical social work practice. Drawing on her experience across frontline practice and clinical leadership, she is particularly interested in bridging the gap between theory and practice and supporting students to develop the knowledge, confidence and critical thinking required for contemporary social work.
