Profile

I am a teaching focused lecturer at the School of Indigenous Australian Studies. My academic background is in the Humanities. I have a Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma in Education, and Masters of Letters from the University of New England. I have a Certificate IV TAA. I am currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. My professional experience is varied and includes many years experience in non-Government welfare organisations, primarily in domestic violence and youth services. In these roles I worked extensively with refugee, migrant, and Indigenous communities in a variety of contexts including case management and community development. I have also been a Language, Literacy and Numeracy teacher of adult learners. All of my professional experience is grounded in a commitment to social justice.
