Chin Ming Stephen Lim locates himself as a decolonial reader from Southeast Asia exploring what it means to read the Bible in Asia. One of his greatest desires is to read the Bible from spaces that are regarded as unfamiliar and uncanny by the modern/colonial world system in the hope of bringing the centre into the margins.

What has consumed his interests recently are cultures of productivity that circulate globally but also manifest locally, especially in Asia. Currently, he is exploring the question of what it means to be human in a world that privileges productivity through intercultural and interreligious engagements with the Bible.
