Matthew Jones is Lecturer in Theology at Ming Hua Theological College in the School of Theology, Charles Sturt University, Hong Kong. A graduate of the University of Auckland where his PhD focused on the Melanesian Brotherhood and theologies of relational power in Melanesia, Matthew has taught in a variety of contexts both in Hong Kong and Solomon Islands.

Through Ming Hua, Matthew is also involved in clergy training and formation for the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (The Anglican Province of Hong Kong) and more recently has been teaching in the Doctor of Educational Ministry Programme at Ming Hua which is affiliated with Virginia Theological Seminary. His research interests include contemporary theology in changing global contexts and indigenous theologies across the Asia-Pacific region.
