Her scholarly work, characterised by its diversity and interconnectedness, delves into themes such as health communication, climate change in political campaigns, sustainability, ethical dimensions in public relations, and science diplomacy. Her research consistently aims to unravel how strategic communication influences and is influenced by environmental and political phenomena. In her role as Senior Lecturer and Program Director for the Bachelor of Communication at CSU, Deborah is dedicated to pedagogical innovation.
