Annie is a trained architect who has designed projects in London, New York and Sydney.  Her academic work includes as a lecturer and course convenor at Sydney University and at Berkeley University in California, and as an adjunct lecturer at the University of New South Wales where she completed her PhD. She also has extensive guest lecturing experience including at University College London, Hong Kong University, Cambridge University and Harvard Business School.

Annie researches the lifecycle approach to the built environment. This encompasses design and operations. Her focus is on sustainability and the role of information.

She is also a keen architectural photographer.
