Sindiso Bhebhe is a Lecturer in the School of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University. Sindiso received his PhD from the University of South Africa in 2020, having previously completed an MSc in Library and Information Science from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. He also holds a BA in Archaeology and Ndebele Language from the University of Zimbabwe.

Before joining CSU in 2023 Sindiso was a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of South Africa’s Department of Information Science. Prior to that he worked at the National Archives of Zimbabwe for 12 years as the archivist. He also had a short stint with the National University of Science and Technology as a Professional Instructor in the Records and Archives Management Department.

Teaching area for Sindiso Bhebhe is mainly on Records and Archives management.

Sindiso's research is centered on community archiving, where he focuses on preserving and promoting the heritage and narratives of local communities. As part of his work funded by Charles Sturt University’s Faculty Early Career Research Award, he is conducting a comprehensive study on the viability of various funding models for community archives in Australia.
