This page is for students undertaking the online Graduate Diploma of Mathematics course.
Teacher education students with Proficient Teacher Accreditation (that is those who have completed an accredited degree), who are applying for credit for the final professional experience placement in the Graduate Diploma of Mathematics should NOT enrol in the subject until their application for Credit has been finalised. Enrolment in the subject may lead to the payments of unnecessary university fees. Certain conditions must be met in order to be awarded Proficiency Credit. These are outlined in the Proficiency Credit section below.
If you do not intend to apply for Proficiency Credit: before applying for your placement, please ensure that you are enrolled in the subject, have met all mandatory requirements and followed all guidelines for organising your placement. Details about these requirements and guidelines are available here: Placement Information All Students. All documentation must be current and valid until the end of your placement.
Placement applications are processed through InPlace, the Charles Sturt professional experience placement management system. Please log in to InPlace to enter the details of your proposed placement against the required fields. Once you have submitted your placement application via InPlace, a member of the Workplace Learning Team will contact you to discuss your placement options.
Please note that teacher education students who are accredited as Proficient Teachers and who are seeking credit for EPT422 Professional Experience in the Graduate Diploma of Mathematics are required to fulfil the following conditions:
Teacher education students who are assessed to have met these requirements after submitting a Proficiency Credit Request Form (download here) will be awarded a Proficiency Credit (PCR) for the subject.
