Summary

My research project is qualitative and used focus groups to examine factors influencing team decision making in US public schools. Participants were school SLPs from across the USA who shared their team decision making process, similarities, differences, and issues faced in the workplace. This study provides information on professional practice patterns in US schools and seeks to identify issues that impact implementation of evidence based practices by school SLPs.

Why I chose Charles Sturt University

Inquiry with Professor Sharynne McLeod and Dr. Kate Crowe led to a collaborative writing project for an invited article. I was made aware by Professor McLeod that Charles Sturt had a Ph.D. by Prior Publication offering.  After examining the process and submitting my portfolio I was accepted and began my studies.
