The Ethics of Voluntary Assisted Dying: Promoting Constructive Debate. This project aims to analyze core concepts that play key roles in emerging debates about the ethics of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) in Australia. The project expects to make constructive contributions to these debates, promoting respectful dialogue and reducing polarization. Expected outcomes include a new model for managing VAD in Australia which is ethically appropriate and consistent with community values. This model will also benefit other countries where the ethics of VAD is under consideration. The project will promote the dignity and autonomy of all and ensure that issues about the conscientious refusal of healthcare professionals to participate in the provision of VAD are handled in an ethically appropriate and effective manner.

Funded project: The Social Work in Libraries (SWiL) Online Simulation Hub: Facilitating Industry Engagement, aims to develop an online simulation hub to facilitate student and industry engagement. The project aims to deliver seven MoUs with public libraries in regional communities where CSU campuses are located. In addition, the project aims to raise awareness of social workers' role in public libraries and aims to deliver seven engaging simulations on the newly built online platform dedicated to social work in Libraries (SWiL).
The project will run from July 2023 to Dec 2024.

Designing for Communities with Communities: Co-designing Public Libraries. Public libraries are critical social infrastructure for communities across Australia. This project investigates how to involve community participation in the design of their public library spaces by analysing the efficacy of co-design activities introduced into three case studies. New knowledge will be generated about engaging community participation in the design and re-design of library spaces, as the societal role of public libraries continues to expand. Expected outcomes include an online guide and overarching framework, and blueprints for community participation that ensure genuine engagement and input.
