Elizabeth Tait

Profile

Dr Elizabeth (Lizzy) Tait and joined CSU in February 2022. She is originally from North-East Scotland and has an interdisciplinary academic background. Before becoming an Information Studies academic she worked as a researcher in the areas of labour market economics and digital economy. Her main area of expertise relates to the digital transformation of business and culture through the application of emergent technologies such as: laser scanning, 3D visualisation and semantic linked data. She is especially interested in the impact of these on the GLAMR profession and professional roles in the sector.

Lizzy has led and co-designed projects across multiple countries and industries with a particular focus on: the energy sector, cultural heritage institutions and economic regeneration of the urban built heritage environment. This includes novel and immersive technologies for museums and galleries to develop engaging exhibits for patrons and how technologies can be used for civic engagement and participation.
