Profile

Professor Tina Du is the Head of the School of Information and Communication Studies and Professor of Information Sciences at Charles Sturt University. Tina’s research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, exploring user-technology interactions, community engagement, information journey, public libraries, and social innovation. Her research work has been supported by national competitive research grants, attracted more than $1.55M in government and industry research funding, and yielded more than 130 publications and received 6 best paper awards. Tina was awarded the Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award, a visiting research fellowship at Oxford University, the South Australian Young Tall Poppy of Science Award, and Winnovation Award, among many other awards and honours. She was recognised as the national field leader in Library & Information Science and a top 50 researcher in the Engineering & Computer Science Discipline by The Australian in 2020.
