Investigating problem solving talk in early years’ mathematics classrooms
Principal Supervisor: Associate Professor Christina Davidson
Co-Supervisor: Professor Christine Edwards-Groves
The aim of this research was to examine the organisation of talk-in-interaction as it unfolds in mathematics lessons during problem solving in early years’ classrooms. This study examines the mathematical problem solving talk, captured in situ, and accomplished locally in the sequential organisation of talk in everyday mathematics lessons.
I became a PhD student at CSU as a result of participating in a number of research projects undertaken by academics at CSU and going on to attain a Masters in Educational Research with distinction. This stidy led me to embark on my PhD journey.
