Research

Embedded within the ARC Discovery Project “The role of public libraries for a changing rural Australia” I am conducting in-depth ethnographic research into public libraries in two regional towns, looking specifically at their role in facilitating community attachment and belonging.

Why I chose Charles Sturt

I have come to research through practice. I am a librarian and applied for scholarship to join a group research project looking at the role of rural libraries in Australia. While I did not anticipate writing a thesis as part of my career, I am excited to extend my passion for public libraries into the research space and contribute meaningfully to the sector.
